WHO WE ARE
Led-Zip lighting is an independently run LED lighting distributor and consultant company with unique bespoke manufacturing capabilities.
We are based in Bournemouth, Dorset, and operate our business up and across the south coast from Cornwall to Kent.
We Offer valuable advice and energy efficient LED alternatives/solutions to conventional lighting technologies in any given environment.
Our unique manufacturing capabilities make it possible for clients to apply our technology and product knowledge to any project or application that should require a special build or design. We advise on the best technology to use in certain applications to ensure a reliable solution to any lighting problem.
All our products are 100% UK made with 100% UK sourced materials and carry with them a 3 year warranty that we stand by.
HOW ITS MADE
Our products are manufactured using the very latest technology available on the market today with an average luminous efficiency of 100 lumens per watt from Luxeon, Phillips and Seoul Semiconductor.
These components are placed and soldered to aluminium backed circuit boards using two high performance Juki placement machines, capable of placing 20,000 components an hour.
The circuit boards are then thermally bonded to the housings to ensure an even heat dissipation and that the led chip is working in the correct environment thus assuring the longevity of the product.
On ordering, the units go through a final assembly process where the specified angle optics are added, they are then sealed using an o-ring arrangement to allow access should any maintenance be required. Unless necessary, messy potting compounds are not used.
The final stage of the process is a 3 day soak test at maximum performance to weed out any product not up to scratch. The units are now ready for dispatch to the customer and come backed up by a 3 year repair or replace warranty.
The quality of the products becomes obvious as soon as they are taken out of their packaging. This quality remains constant day after day throughout their expected 50,000 hours lifetime.
PROPERTY - Kitchen & Bathrooms
Orion and Polaris dominate the range complimented with functional down lighting from the MR16 replacement and 6-LED down lighter. Fabulous cool white light in kitchens above and below cabinets, even inside cabinets and kick boards, or take it a step further and add some colour-changing as well. Andromeda and Octavia for the futuristic look. All this style with up to 80% energy saving and the low profile of Orion means concealed light, no ugly fluorescents on show. The low voltage and IP67 rating makes these fittings ideal for bathrooms and wet rooms, too.
WBA chromatherapy schemes from high level down lighting or floor mounted up lighting. Under cabinet and picture rail up lighting are all features designed to create a stunning bathroom experience.

INTERIOR & EXTERIOR DESIGNERS
LED-ZIP LIGHTING opens up a whole new field of design concepts. The entire range has been created with designers in mind. High brightness, vivid colours and pastel shades in stunningly attractive fittings that have been computer-designed for both thermal management of the LED chips and ease of fitting. The low profiles and IP67 ratings mean that light can now be used in places where conventional lighting seemed impossible. This, together with colour changing from a single source, allows the imagination of creative designers to run wild.
Wall washers, spotlights, down lights and concealed lighting, all feature strongly for both interiors and exteriors combined with power savings of up to 80% on conventional systems. LED lighting is a concept now unable to be ignored by new designers.
REPLACEMENT WHITE
Fed up with forever replacing bulbs? Fed up with the high cost of rising energy bills? LED replacement fittings are the answer.
LED-ZIP LIGHTING can now offer true halogen replacement with mind-boggling brightness. MR16 and AR1-11 replacements are here with a choice of warm, neutral and cold white. Also the 6-LED downlighter for a gimballed fitting purpose-made for interior down lighting. Fluorescent tubes may be moderately cheap to run but require replacing and are difficult to keep clean. This, combined with disposal and manufacturing issues, make this a lighting technology of the past. Andromeda, Octavia and Orion are the answer with up to 50% energy saving, attractive design, flicker-free and no replacement guaranteed. OEM's
LED-ZIP LIGHTING offers a wide range of high brightness LED lighting solutions into the OEM market, for backlighting and cabinet lighting with the ultra low profile Orion and RV1 or the Lynx PCB only version.
Polaris is a favourite with boat and caravan builders along with the 6-LED downlighter for exceptional illumination and, of course, the energy saving MR16 replacement.
All of the fittings are available in a variety of single colours or in the vivid RGB range as colour-changing units. For more subtle, pastel shades, LED-ZIP offer the WBA alternative to RGB.
